Casual and part-time opportunities at our PURE music programme

You will be responsible for:

  • participate in our regular or ad-hoc discussions within respective team to align the PURE Orchestral Centre directions and ensure that our musical materials and programmes are executed according to pedagogical and business plans
  • working closely with our director and fellow music instructors in a host of selected music programmes, including our annual concerts and events as well as visiting masterclasses
  • collaborating with other music departments when participating in regular performances and music festivals, including our UBC Summer Music Institute

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree or relevant to music performance, music education and or any other equivalent BA music programmes; and
  • have at least 2 years of experience in the field of music education; and
  • possess solid leadership, self-initiative, problem-solving and collaboration skills; and
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, preferably with working knowledge of Mandarin and Cantonese

Additional information

Registration to teach in Hong Kong is desirable, but is not essential. The successful applicant will have appropriate academic qualifications in teaching and music. The role requires a willingness to participate in the ethos of global citizenship, related office duties of the centre as well as the centre’s comprehensive pastoral, festive and co-curricular programs. Familiarity with the UBC music programme would be advantageous, but is not essential.
